Art Deco Centennial Celebration at the Oviatt Penthouse

Bonjour Paris 1925! Celebrate the Centennial of the Art Deco style with special events at the very Art Deco Oviatt Penthouse! The Art Deco Society of Los Angeles is pleased to partner with Olive & Grand, representing the Oviatt Penthouse, for a one-of-a-kind celebration of the Centennial of Paris’ 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts.

The centerpiece of our three-day celebration is “Art Deco Tous Les Jours,” an original exhibit of period objects from toasters to textiles, illustrating the influence of Art Deco style on the esthetics of everyday life in the 1920s and 30s. Evenings soirees and a French tea party on the terrace add to the festivities.

Our Art Deco Centennial Soiree combines an opportunity to view the exhibition with a 1920s party complete with an original Cabaret performance infused with Paris in the 1920s history, by Jeudi, the Vintage-Voiced Chanteuse, a Champagne Tower, French inspired nibbles, an opportunity to luxuriate in the splendor of the Oviatt Penthouse (full of photo opportunities).

On December 5th, we celebrate the 88th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition in America. We are excited to welcome back authors Anne Peck-Davis and Diane Lapis to the virtual stage and continue our vintage journey across America. The duo’s program will feature unique cocktail lounges, hotel bars, and the exotic venues that defined the period after Prohibition’s repeal.
