The wonderful folks at the Queen Mary heard about our rapid sell out and responded with, “You need a bigger room!” We will now hold our Sunday night soiree in the gorgeous, historic QUEEN’S SALON. The larger room will enable us to sell more tickets, however, these tickets are only available to Art Deco Society of Los Angeles members.

Members always have priority. If you would like to join our organization, please follow this link. Our website automatically detects members when they log in and tickets for this event will only be visible to current members. We love meeting new people, but with limited capacity experiences, we do have an obligation to give our members priority access. We are so thrilled that there is such a demand to make merry and revel with our group!

We are delighted to return to the 1934 RMS Queen Mary for Cocktails at the Queen’s Salon! The evening will include dancing to a live band playing music of the Art Deco era and special prohibition era cocktails. Join us in a belated toast to the Queen Mary’s 89th anniversary (Sept. 26) of her launch!

Performing in the Queen’s Salon is JIM ZIEGLER’S SWINGSATIONS QUINTET!

ABOUT THE QUEEN’S SALON

“The First Class Main Lounge (now called the ‘Queen’s Salon’) of the R.M.S. QUEEN MARY was the most luxurious space on this great oceanliner. It contains no less than three golden onyx fireplaces: the central fireplace is surrounded by the gilt silver and gold gesso panel of ‘The Unicorns in Battle’ by Gilbert Bayes and Alfred Oakley. Also of note are Maurice Lambert's bronze reliefs (on the theme of music) over the stage, and similar bronze reliefs over the four entrances.”

On its stage in 1939, Bob Hope performed his signature song, “Thanks For the Memories”, to a live audience for the first time.

ABOUT THE BAND

Founded in 1995, The Swingsations are dedicated to performing the very best in Classic Jazz, Swing, and novelty tunes from the 1920s to the 1940s. Led by trumpeter and vocalist Jim Ziegler, the band has performed throughout the Southern California area, delighting audiences with their hot and happy rhythm.
