When you make it to 98-years old, it is definitely cause for celebration! Join us for Cocktails in Historic Places (TM) at the historic Hotel Figueroa in Downtown Los Angeles. The hotel has invited us to help usher in their 98th year with live music from the Art Deco Jazz Orchestra, complimentary passed appetizers (while they last!) and no-host cocktails.
Enjoy dancing and a mini-tour of the hotel to learn about its history as a women’s hotel (and to see the coffin shaped pool)! The Hotel Figueroa was founded by Maude N. Bouldin in 1926. She and her team of women endeavored to make traveling safe for women traveling alone for business and professional purposes. In the early days, men did stay at Hotel Figueroa, but only those traveling with their families.
Come dressed to party like its 1926, (well, except that you can drink openly!).
