Summer 2022 marks the 100th anniversary of the Hollywood Bowl. In this multi-media virtual program with historians Angie Schneider and Mary Stanford, we will trace the origins of LA's most beloved and enduring concert venue. We'll discuss the women who championed the concept of an outdoor amphitheater as a benefit to the community, as well as the Art Deco architecture that was built during the Bowl's first 25 years. Last, but certainly not least, we will explore the diverse array of music, dance and theater that graced the Bowl's stage during the Art Deco era. Artifacts from Hollywood Heritage's archive will be displayed and discussed, live from the museum - located across the street from the Hollywood Bowl. All are encouraged to visit the Hollywood Heritage Museum to see this wonderful exhibit!
Pack a picnic dinner and pour a glass of wine, while we go back to the 1920s and 30s at the Hollywood Bowl! See below for some suggestions from the 1920s, for your sandwiches!
