Ciao! Join the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles for no-host cocktails at Miceli’s, the oldest Italian restaurant in Hollywood! We’ll enjoy the Sunday night live piano music accompanying Miceli’s famous singing waiters! Come for the cocktails, stay for the delicious homemade Italian cuisine.

This gathering is free, but you are on the hook for food and beverage you wish to consume. Traditionally, the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles members gather once a month in an historic building with a bar, to socialize and revel in the beauty of historic architecture. It is our duty to patronize businesses in historic buildings! We welcome interested persons to join us. This no-host cocktail gathering is open to members and non-members alike, and no reservations are required to attend.

Miceli's, a beloved Italian restaurant in Hollywood, California, has a long and storied history. Established in 1949 by World War II veteran Carmen Miceli, the restaurant quickly became a popular spot for locals and celebrities alike. Over the years, Miceli's expanded to multiple locations, including a newer store in Universal City that opened in 1980.

The interior of Miceli's is known for its dark, sprawling, and colorful design, with ceilings lined with hanging Chianti bottles. Wooden booths, stools, and wall panels were even salvaged from the nearby Pig 'n Whistle after it went defunct in 1952. However, what really sets Miceli's apart is its singing servers, who entertain guests with their vocal talents as they dine.

Carmen Miceli was a fixture at the restaurant until his death in 2015 at the age of 92. The son of Sicilian immigrants, he was born in Chicago on March 17, 1923, and moved to Los Angeles in 1946. After working as a waiter at Ciro's, he brought his family to California to open their first restaurant - Miceli's Hollywood pizzeria.

Over the years, Miceli's has attracted many famous Italian Americans, including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Joe DiMaggio - who was often seen dining with his wife, Marilyn Monroe. Today, Miceli's remains a beloved institution in Hollywood, known for its delicious Italian food, lively atmosphere, and rich history.
