January 26: ADSLA Annual Meeting at the Egyptian Theatre Hollywood and presentation by Haunted by History author/historian Craig Owens on “The Silent Film Era at the Alexandria Hotel” and silent film shorts with live accompaniment by pianist Rick Friend. Art Deco Society of Los Angeles members took a private tour of the Oakridge Estate where Barbara Stanwyck and Zeppo Marx once built a horse breeding ranch. $1200 was raised to help restore the house.
