February 12: Members only ADSLA & Hollywood Heritage Opera Outing to The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for Mozart’s “Abduction from the Seraglio,” set in the 1920s.

February 18: Presentation/preview of World Congress on Art Deco in Cleveland, Ohio, by president of the 20th Century Society, Mick Beyer. At the Egyptian Theatre.

MARCH

March 7: Connoisseurship and Collecting: Auction preview at Heritage Auction House in Beverly Hills of private Art Deco collection coming up for auction for the first time. March 17-19 Through the Modernist Lens: A Distinctive Hollywood Collection of Art Deco and 20th Century Art auction.

March 14: “The Decades Dance,” a joint vintage event of the Ebell of Los Angeles and ADSLA. The Los Angeles Ebell Clubhouse and Theatre was built in 1927, designed by architect Sumner Hunt. The Ebell was founded by women, for women, in 1894 to promote women’s education. https://ebellofla.com/club/

September 23: THE LOST CITY OF CECIL B. DEMILLE documentary, with post-film discussion with the filmmakers. Plus, an exhibit of artifacts from the Nipomo Dunes dig site where THE TEN COMMANDMENTS sets were buried in 1923.
