We're off to the movies to see the new re-make of the 1947 Tyrone Power film noir, NIGHTMARE ALLEY.

ADSLA reserved a block of tickets. These tickets will be available for purchase from ADSLA. We can all come dressed in our film noir best and sit together. A post-film meet up in the bar is in the process of being arranged. Members should have received a ticket link by email. If you did not get this email, please email artdeco@adsla.org If you are not a member, you may join us by purchasing a ticket directly from the theater for the show at 4:00 pm.

When charismatic but down-on-his-luck Stanton Carlisle (Bradley Cooper) endears himself to clairvoyant Zeena (Toni Collette) and her has-been mentalist husband Pete (David Strathairn) at a traveling carnival, he crafts a golden ticket to success, using this newly acquired knowledge to grift the wealthy elite of 1940s New York society. With the virtuous Molly (Rooney Mara) loyally by his side, Stanton plots to con a dangerous tycoon (Richard Jenkins) with the aid of a mysterious psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett) who might be his most formidable opponent yet. Nightmare Alley is written and directed by Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth).

Parking is free with validation in the complex “Westside Pavilion.” This location is in West Los Angeles.
